Courses
Puppy Socialization For puppies 12-16 weeks
This is a 4 week course. We will discuss many puppy concerns; household dangers, common toxins, play biting, jumping, confidence building techniques and other puppy raising tips. Also introducing basic commands, all while you puppy is having fun. This is a 4 week rotating schedule, so you begin classes when your puppy reaches 12 weeks.
Basic Obedience For puppies and dogs over 4 months
This course will teach your pet the fundamentals of life. Behaviors learned will include: sit, lay down, come, off (feet on the floor), stay and walking on a loose lead. Learn training methods to train Your dog and tips to prevent emergency room visits and keeping your pet healthy. First class no dogs.
Practical Obedience For graduates of Basic course
This course is an expansion of the basic course. It puts the fundamentals into everyday use. For example; waiting politely at doorways, greeting fellow walkers with dogs and controlled walking in a crowd.....just to name a few. This program will also prepare your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, "making your pet a welcome member of the community". First class no dogs.
Advanced Obedience For graduates of Basic or Practical course
This course is formatted for the owner who desires reliable off leash control and consistency. We take the behaviors your pet learned in the previous courses and mold them into complete control, leash free.
Programs
Group classes
Classes are held once a week for 45-60 minutes for 6 weeks . Group size is 6-8 dogs. No children under 15 yrs. please (unless class is specifically formatted for children). Classes held outdoors.
Private lessons
Any of our courses may be given in a private one on one session.
In-Home Program
Training done in your home. A trainer will meet with you and your pet once a week. In this time you will be taught how to teach your pet the behaviors you desire and prevent the ones you don't. Program will include the course above appropriate for your needs. Additional behavioral issues may be addressed during this program such as digging, nuisance barking, crate training etc. (see ala carte prices).
In-Board Program Our Most popular Program
Dog training is not for everybody, training your pet requires a great deal of consistency. If you don't have the ability to give your pet what he/she requires during the training process, NO PROBLEM let us do it for you. Your part then is to maintain the training. Your pet will stay with us for 3-4 weeks (for basic) after which you will recieve two free follow up sessions on how to maintain the training, two free brush-up sessions to use anytime and unlimited acess to attend group classes. Our In-Board program is great for busy families. Additional behavioral issues may be addressed during this program such as digging, nuisance barking, crate training etc. (see ala carte prices).
Special Programs
New puppy/breed selection Thinking of getting a new companion for the family but overwhelmed by the wide varirty to choose from? We can help take out the guess work. Our experinced trainer will meet with you and your family to inquire about your lifestyle and expectations of a dog. This helps us match the perfect puppy for you. After the consultation we will be able to go meet new puppies with you (at shelters, rescue groups or breeders)and help make the perfect match.
New puppy consultations So you've choosen the perfect puppy, now your asking yourself, what do I feed him, where will he sleep, how often does he need to go to the vet???? These questions and many more will be answered in our in home consultation. Also included, great tips for puppy proofing your home, avoiding potential dangers and poisons to keep your puppy healthy.

Behavioral modifications All behaviors a dog exhibits is natural. But these behaviors often conflict with what we expect from our dog. This results into what we commonly call "behavioral issuse". These behaviors can me modified. A trainer will meet with you and discuss the unwanted behavior you are experiencing in detail. Then we will give tips and instructions on how to correct the problem. After which we will meet with you again to assess your progress and make adjustments as needed.
